Innovactory has reached the milestone of 2 million kg. carbon dioxide (CO2) reduction. The startup from Almere is proactively working to reduce CO2 emissions by participating in incentive projects and using reward programmes for sustainable travel behaviour. To this end, it works together with the government, various provinces and municipalities, the business community and the users of TimesUpp, its free app.
TimesUpp shows current traffic density on all European roads and shows delays and alternative routes. This allows people to avoid traffic jams, choose to leave earlier or later, choose more sustainable means of transport or work from home. With the use of TimesUpp, Innovactory has been able to prevent 600,000 car trips in the past period. The company has set itself the target of 2 million kg this year as well. CO2 savings. In doing so, it is already contributing to the national climate targets.
Innovactory was founded in 2013 by a team of former TomTom employees with the aim of developing innovative applications for smart mobility that make a significant contribution to sustainable travel behaviour. Her smart travel assistant TimesUpp has an average rating of 4.3 out of 5 stars in the Appstores and has been installed 150,000+ times. Since 1 January 2017, TimesUpp users have saved 600,000 car trips, resulting in CO2 savings of over 2,100,000 kg.
